You are a beast waking from hibernation. You need to eat as much as possible, before the next winter comes around. Spread your arms, grab the food and shovel it into your maw and grow big again.

Funny idea.
great way to learn/train some simple multitasking.

Controlls are a bit clunky.
having to repress the key when its still held down, after you input a diff direction is  a bit weird.

Just a minor thing tho that you will no doubt be able to change with some more coding exp

The hand drawn look is pretty cool too.
The hitboxes/colissions could be a bit more refined but no big deal either.

Solid entry and impressive result for such little experience!

While the control scheme is not at all what I'm used to, it's very intuitive. I did struggle with the hands getting stuck on objects without me noticing, and also they would stop moving if I used too many inputs at once.

Overall I actually enjoyed it and I love the concept. The music is great and fits the theme perfectly.

Thanks a lot for your review :)

I am glad you enjoyed the game.
Yeah, the input scheme is not optimized for "diagonal" movement. Getting stuck on objects may come from the artwork not clearly communicating where the hitboxes are.

A very hearty congratulations for getting this posted! And your first time coding as well! Massive high five my friend. Thank you so much for your review and feedback on Tehryan and I's game! Here's my feedback for yours :)

I thought this concept was super cool. I kept getting the hands caught on obstacles, and the collision seemed a little too much. Phew! When the music started getting faster I immediately knew I had to go faster, That was great input! I loved the guitar and just ate everything in sight!

You did a sincerely wonderful job solo, and please keep making more games! I am hungry for more. :)

This is a quirky concept that has a lot of potential! I want to take the time to congratulate you on bringing this to the finish line, especially for your first time coding! I found your art charming and weird (in a good way) and I spent a good amount of time playing.

After playing, I realized that I am absolutely terrible at moving two things at once. But I did have the best luck moving both hands together, side by side, at the same time. That allowed me to be a little more efficient. I also tried alternating between hands -- one goes out to grab fruit, while the other hand brings back fruit that has already been grabbed.

All in all, I think you did a great job, Mexalen! Go make more stuff!
